Bundaberg Long weekend 2023
The ultimate HSV weekend getaway, this year we’ve been able to step things up a bit more, and we have put together a action packed weekend away in the Scenic Bundaberg region.
Arrival Friday / Friday night or Saturday morning before 9am
Our weekend starts of at 9.30 sharp Saturday morning where we will be getting on to our own air conditioned Hsv charted bus. I’ll be doing my best to ensure everyone has a laugh or 2 as well as there will be a quiz, where there will be a special prize awarded at dinner that night.
Our first stop will be Bundaberg Rum distillery, where we have secured our own private tour, followed by some taste testing, and if all goes to plan, we “should “ have our own Hsv Owners Club branded special batch rum to purchase.
After that we will be heading to lunch at Grunske’s by the River where we have reserved our spot over looking the burnet River.
After lunch we will then head over to The Bundaberg Barrel ( soft drinks) where we can just browse look at some of the history and purchase what ever you like.
We then continue our tour over to Kalki Moon Distillery (gin) where once again we have our own guided tour followed by tasting of course.
The day should be finished by 4.30, and our Hsv bus will return us to our accommodation.
After we have got back, had a Power Nap and shower, we will all meet up around the pool area where the Hsv club will be putting on pizzas, while we enjoy some of our spoils from the day.
And of course presentation for the quiz winner.
Sunday morning after a nice sleep in we will heading of in our own cars, this time on a scenic cruise though Bundaberg and on to GinGin, stopping along the way at The Peanut Van, and then on to our lunch destination,Rusty Gate Grove Bar and winery. ( designated hsv parking)
After lunch and a walk around the grounds, we will take the opportunity to take a few photos of our cars in front of the vineyard.
Once everyone has enjoyed their lunch ect, feel free to have your own free time making your way back to Bargara.
We have booked Bargara Beach Hotel for dinner on Saturday night, which I’m sure will be a great social get together and a few laughs.
Farewell breakfast for those that want to attend, where we will have a chance to say our goodbyes.

*( option to do Saturday and Sunday nights only) but you will have to be at Bargara by 9am Saturday.
